Sybil Ludington was a simple colonial women living just outside of New York in 1776 during the American Revolution in rural Dutchess county. She was the eldest child of commander Henry Ludington. Sybil’s father belonged to the Dutchess County militia.
Anne of Cleves was the fourth wife of King Henry VIII for a very short time. The marriage was annulled after he had qualms about marrying the lady after their first meeting. The wedding took place on the morning of January 6, 1540 only to be dissolved by summer.
